The awards are to benchmark the achievements and progress being made across the healthcare landscape to make the world a greener place.

Who's leading the race to net zero? This award is for those businesses assisting the NHS in reducing their carbon footprint through innovative strategies, technologies and processes that have created measurable results.  

MedTech Innovation

The future of healthcare is sustainable. This award recognises the groundbreaking medical technology advancements that not only improve patient care but also promote environmental sustainability. 

Supplier of the Year

Sustainable partnerships pave the way for a greener future. This award honours a supplier consistently exceeding expectations in providing sustainable products and services to the healthcare sector. 

Circular Economy Award

Waste not, want not! This award celebrates businesses pioneering a circular economy approach within the healthcare sector, minimising waste and maximising resource efficiency.

Sustainable Software

Smarter software, greener healthcare. Recognise innovative software solutions that optimize efficiency, reduce resource consumption, and contribute to a more sustainable healthcare system. 

Green Building

This award acknowledges businesses that empower the NHS to build a greener future. This includes clean energy solutions, resource efficiency (water management), sustainable materials, and community impact (green spaces, social equity).

General Criteria for Awards Submission

Our awards celebrate the great work being carried out by both NHS trusts and suppliers, partners and other organisations who are striving towards sustainability goals.

In addition to the category-specific criteria that is listed below, the judges will be looking for the following from submissions
  •  Innovation
  • Imagination and ambition
  • Evidence of a good clear strategy for the project or policy
  • Evidence of good management
  • Evidence the strategy was clearly communicated to staff and other stakeholders
  • Value for money
  • Supporting evidence that the project/policy has made a difference to the organisation
  • Evidence it has achieved or is well on the way to achieving what it set out to do
